Community Based Projects
Active Recovery
Our Active Recovery Project is for clients of the Southmead Project and provides community based activities once a fortnight. It gives survivors the opportunity to build up their confidence, try some fun activities and socialise with others who have a shared understanding of their experience.
For more information please click here to download a copy of our Active Recovery leaflet.
Please see our News page here for further information about the activities that have taken place so far.

Art of Survivors
In 2019 we ran eight art workshops with survivors of abuse who were clients of the Southmead Project and Kinergy.
They were able to express themselves through activities such as painting, sculpture and poetry and used creativity to help support their healing process.
The inspiring works of art were proudly displayed at two safeguarding conferences in Dorchester and Bournemouth in 2019.
The project was funded by the Barnardo's Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse.
